YHOA Gallopen 2008
1. All YHOA
Regional & National Events will count. Scores will be determined by courses, not
classes.
2. Only those
running under the name of a YHOA club or university
club in the region are eligible.
3. The first
3 placings per course, irrespective of class /
gender, will be averaged to calculate a base time. Achieving exactly this base time will give a competitor 1000 points.
Each competitor’s score will be calculated by dividing their time by the
base time and then multiplying this ratio by 1000.
4. The
results will then be split into 6 classes
Mens Long Class consisting of M21 Long to M75 Long.
Womens Long Class consisting of W21 Long to W75 Long.
Mens Short Class consisting of M21 Short to M75 Short.
Womens Short Class consisting W21 Short to W75 Short.
Mens Junior Class for all under M21 who compete in the
JM classes
Womens Junior Class for all under W21 who compete in the JW
classes
5. The
maximum and minimum scores that can be gained by any individual completing a
course successfully will be 1200 and 500 points respectively.
6. The best 6
out of 10 events will count towards the total.
7. Those
running colour coded courses will not be eligible and colour coded times (where
courses coincide with a badge course) will not be counted in calculations for
the base time.
8. Competitors
can score points if running a course longer than that for their age class.
9. Competitors
running Long in some events and Short in others will feature in both
classes. Points cannot be added together
for a final total.
